With the Greek origins of its name; "helios" and "chrysos" meaning sun and gold respectively, Helichrysum italicum is also known as "Everlasting" and "Immortelle", because of its golden yellow flowering tops which remain bright even as they dry out. This herb has been used for thousands of years for its medicinal properties across Europe and the Mediterranean where it originates.
In its pure form which is what Mo's offers, this is an expensive and scarcely available essential oil, but the wealth of benefits it offers and long shelf life compensate for its hefty price tag.
